This Eight-week program is designed to enable students to read, write and communicate orally with native speakers equivalent to one year of college-level language study. The program focuses on Modern Israeli Hebrew, with an emphasis on conversation, linguistic structure, audio-lingual development, and reading and writing.

As part of the 2004 Hebrew Intensive Language Institute, students explore "Israel and Palestine: Two Peoples, One Land.” This innovative session examines the cultural and political issues confronting Israel, Palestine and the modern Middle East.

Upon successful completion of LANG 108B students receive 12 credits for HEBR 111 Elementary Hebrew 1 (6) and HEBR 112 Elementary Hebrew II (6). The courses offered within the Hebrew Program can apply as prerequisites or credit for a major in Jewish Studies.
