FOLA Requirements

A mandatory Orientation and Scheduling Meeting is held at the beginning of each semester, times and dates are posted outside Room JMZ 1109, Jiménez Hall. Enrollment in the FOLA program is by permission only and application forms are available in JMZ 1109. The FOLA program is not intended for students who already have a speaking knowledge of these languages.

In order to succeed in the program, it is strongly recommended to put in at least 8 hours a week of listening/repeating practice with audio materials, outside of class attendance. Attendance at the tutorial sessions is mandatory and closely monitored by the Coordinator of the program: excessive absences result in the lowering of the final grade.
