Proposals for additions and changes in programs and courses:
Instructions for SLLC Faculty
The following is designed to ease your proposal’s passage through the SLLC PCC, the ARHU PCC, and the university-level PCC and VPAC committees. You are encouraged to seek the advice of the members of the SLLC PCC and its chair as you prepare your documents.
- Making changes to existing course?
- No syllabus required.
- Fill out VPAC form (http://www.vpac.umd.edu/); DO NOT SUBMIT electronically. You may print out and write information by hand.
- Give hard copy to PCC chair, Gabi Strauch.
- Proposing new course?
- Compose syllabus in English according to template.
- Fill out VPAC form (http://www.vpac.umd.edu/); DO NOT SUBMIT electronically. You may print out and write in by hand.
- Give hard copy to PCC chair, Gabi Strauch.
- Making changes to existing program?
- Fill out PCC form and attach description of existing program along with a description of the proposed program.
- Give hard copy to PCC chair.
- Proposing new program?
- Follow detailed instructions according to type of program on the Provost’s page on Academic Planning. http://www.provost.umd.edu/Academic_Planning/
- Fill out PCC form as cover sheet.
