Exceptional students applying to the Undergraduate Persian Flagship Program will be considered for a scholarship. Students must file the FAFSA form (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) in order to qualify and be considered for the scholarship. UM's FAFSA code is 002103. Scholarships are competitive and subject to availability.
Scholarships reimburse the student for tuition spent on courses taught in Persian at the University of Maryland during the academic year. Scholarship disbursements will be made directly to the student's university account.

Full government funding is available to qualified students
in the Persian Flagship Graduate Program. For more information about deadlines,
requirements, and conditions, visit The Language Flagship Fellowships. Applicants who wish to apply for funding are
advised to visit the website for deadlines and apply as early as possible. Applicants to the Graduate Persian Flagship Program may also apply for David
L. Boren Fellowships.
Students may also be eligible for fellowships under the Fulbright-Hays
Act, the Title VI Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) Program
Fellowships, and Title VIII Fellowships.
The University of Maryland offers a limited number of merit-based partial stipends for a maximum of $10,000.
